Fairvue Plantation History

Overlooking an amazing 2000+ acres, Fairvue Plantation was named after the spectacular view that was possible from the Fairvue Plantation Mansion.  This Georgian-style mansion is a site to be seen.  Isaac and Adelicia Franklin built this architecturely impressive home in 1832.  It's furnishings were lavish, but it was the view that was, and still is, truely breathtaking.

Fairvue came to be known for it's sport gaming: thoroughbred horses, fox hunting, and polo.  It is this that earned the reputation of "the finest sporting estate in the world."  All throughout history, Fairvue was known for it's horse breeding and training.  This later turned into the Grassland International Steeplechase, but once the Great Depression hit, there wasn't much need for sport gaming and thoroughbred horses.

Finally the area had gained popularity once again when, in 1978, Fairvue was named a historical landmark.

Fairvue Plantation Housing

Surrounding the prestigious and historic Fairvue Plantation Mansion, is a new 500 acre exclusive community.  Starting around $400,000 you can purchase a home in this beautiful area featuring lake views and possibly a home right off the golf course.
